OH MY WORD!!!
Oh my word indeed! This world, which turned topsy-turvy a long time ago, is finally turning again!! Still not the right way up, mind. (: Looks like the fashion of this age is to mimic the people of centuries and centuries ago. Think B.C. Wondering what sparked this train of thought off??
OH MY WORD! I read in the newspapers...that a freaking 9 year old is now freaking PREGNANT. o.O This is like those people from the ancient tribes of some ulu country in some ulu-never-thought-of time who bethrothed girls of age 7 up to some old guy...it was fashionable okay!! I always wondered how they were old enough to handle being a mother. =/ Anyway...BUT in this age??????? And the government complains that not enough women are giving birth cos they don't want kids. Come on la. Even kids are giving birth. Still complain for what?? It's outrageous I tell you. What next?? Legalised marriage at 12?? And the worst thing is, she had sex cos she wanted to see how it worked. First time, pregant already. With her classmate or something like that somemore. Yet another SIAO 9 year old. The world is getting scarier by the day...pregnant at 9 indeed. What are the parents doing man!!! I mean, there was this counsellor who was admonishing them la. Said something along the lines of "there is no too young for sex education." I sympathise with the parents man. This counsellor deserves to be slapped. You can't blame them for thinking that she's too young to know about sex what...which parent in their right mind would traumatise 9 year old kids about the dangers of experimenting with sex?! They're still supposed to be innocently stuck in the world of Enid Blyton, for goodness' sake. Imagine. Somewhere in the near future...we envisage hordes of parents clutching sex education phamphlates, sitting anxiously in front of their newborn baby's crib...telling them bedtime stories about the dangers of sex. "Once upon a time...there was this 9 year old kid..." What would happen to the exciting stories of Goldilocks and the 3 bears????? NO age too young my foot.
Aiya...of course their fault what. Then who else to blame?? The media meh. TV shows meh. Their schoolmates meh. The school meh. The teachers meh. The magazines meh. The American novels which describe the damn act in such vivid detail meh. Aiya...of course the mama and papa fault la!! LOL.
