the HUB

Well well well. Who would have known that the eternally "guai" me would be blogging in school?? Ooh yeah. That's precisely what I'm doing NOW. The Temasek Junior College HUB overlooks the sports complex, where I can see people running all over the field that we're purportedly NOT supposed to tread upon with out dirtied feet. But ya. And the poor souls who are running aimlessly round and round and round the track. I feel so sorry for them. That's one of the stupid disadvantages of a CIRCIT. It's never ending. You just run and run, and each round you think, why the hell am I doing this?? And you never stop running. The same view over and over and over. Just bores me to bits. And my dad wonders why I hate running on the track.

it's DURIAN season!!

St. Patrick's concert. 20th March 7:30pm Esplanade Concert Hall..Tickets can be purchased at SISTIC counters. Thank you.

Ya. In case you REALLY go to any SISTIC outlets or website, please. READ AGAIN. The concert was YESTERDAY. HA! Anyway...the concert was rather nice...for those who want to know the repertoire,

1. Exultate
2. La Forze Del Destino
3. Noah's Ark
4. Dakota
5. Capacabana
6. Black Magic Woman

Then came the intermission. I was sitting beside this Malay lady...who had a son in the eupho section. She was super friendly la...tell me her son don't like to smile, look very serious, make him smile also very difficult. Tell me his photo in the program booklet so ugly...point out to me that he looks rather chinese in real life. Quite nice la the lady.

Then the St. Stephan's band played. They are like so CUTE la. So SMALL. Everybody went o.O when they saw. They played tempest and this other song.

I don't know if Daryl chose my seat or something, but it was quite a GOOD seat. As in, 4th row from the front, right smack in the center. Which meant that I could see the conductors' every twitch, and hear all the tiny squeaks and see the players squinting at each other. Quite interesting.

In front of me, you won't believe this, was about the WHOLE of Damai Sec band. I could see the students TRYING to record the performance la. Until the usher, "EXCUSE ME. NO recording of any sort or photography in the hall PLEASE." Then you see the guy's face, like 'OOPS'. Hahaha...somemore can see their mouths hanging open when they saw the clarinets running their notes in Exultate la. WHooo...

I like Pirates!!! SMU played and now SPS. When will it be MY TURN?! I don't think i'll EVER get to play it. ='(

Tears of regret will get you NOWHERE.

Well...I know crying doesn't help matters (i mean this metaphorically), but still. I can't help kicking myself for being too don't-carish. Watching all my best friends in whirls of rapture over the arrival of and invitation card for Speech Day, I feel happy for them, but dreadfully irritated that I didn't get one. Yes, I'm short of ONE distinction. Which I could have easily gotten, but didn't try to. Stupid I know, not living up to expections. It's like knowing how to swim, but decide not to just when u're drowning. SHUCKS. Speech Day...causes me great sorrow.

Oops. I did it. AGAIN.

My mouth, or rather my rather VICIOUS sense of humour has run away with me. AGAIN. But then again. WHO is DOT DOT DOT...PLEASE TELL ME...sorry about the cretin thing...I am SO inquisitive. Hmm. Hmm. Ah well. Can't do anything about that.

Went for band today. At Temasek...SEC. HA! Anyway. Mayves. POWER SIA! She was playing picc...then got this high F, she cannot play. Play halfway then STOP. o.O Turn to me and say the usual thing..."FLORENCE...I cannot play...then out of tune" I turned, look at her, then said "AIYA. Don't care la. Just WHACK." OMG. Next thing I know, I have this super duper loud high F blasting into my poor left ear. Benny, kekang plus plus all so SHOCKED they stopped playing la. WHOO!! GO MAYVES!! ALL my birdies so PRO. And I mean ALL okay...loud, then more or less in tune. I couldn't really judge on account that my ear was reeling with shock. But my DEAR Mayves still got TUNING PROBLEM. =x

Anyway. Pride and Prejudice is one helluva great show!! For girls la. Guys may not find it much to their taste. Please watch if you haven't watched it.

Blockheads, Idiots and Cretins.

No. 1 Cretin: whoever the DOT DOT DOT person is. Your stars very nice huh. IDENTIFY yourself, starry freak. Before I make you fly to the moon. HEH! Ok. I didn't mean that. =x Was just being my usual lame self.

No. 1 Idiot: ME. I actually went to apply HAIR CREAM on my itchy spot. @#$%^&*! It was in the middle of the NIGHT when I scratched this irritating bug bite. I finally decide to wake up to apply some soothing cream, and it just HAD to be HAIR CREAM. DUMB. I took the wrong cream by the way. I don't want unwanted hair in unwanted places.

No. 1 Blockhead: I dunno. It was just to make the title look nice. Oops.

Oh ya. I love this year's batch of sec 1s. Even one of them, who didn't even KNOW me, say I very AUNTIE. And guess what. HE's like even more auntie than me la. Wth... -.-" Hahahaha....what's more, he has an EXTREMELY interesting name. All the sec 1s, when I was sauntering on my sadistic way around the school torturing them, didn't want to tell me their names at first. Then after that then come VOLUNTEERILY tell me. -.-" cute can.

please join band....*smirks*

This is the list which Nicholas sent to me and Xinling, encourageing us to join band. I am highly impressed with his determination...he was trying to get us to join la. Then I was like "give me 10 ood reasons why I should join the band" And he gave me FIFTEEN. WOW.

1) You have the passion for music

2) You have a flair for the flute, why waste it?

3) TJCSB can push you to be a better player. I gave it a chance and I improved so much more then I ever did in TWE.

4) Linsheng is one of the premiere conductors in Singapore. He know what he's doing.

6) We play very nice music for concerts, just look at previous years concert repertoire. Mononoke Hime Medley, NSB Millenium, El Camino Real, Phantom of the Opera, Animation Medley, Fantasy Variations, all the various Grafs from America to Japan etc.

7) We play the coolest and most original songs for SYF. Spartacus, The Chosen etc. No one played them before in Singapore.

8) We play songs no band in Singapore has played before. TJCSB was the first to have Animation Medley.

9) We get to play many new pieces from various cultures too. I told my senior your question. They said Linsheng is just trying out new pieces right now, thats why he doesn't work on it. But when the repertoire is finally set, he will then work on the piece.

10) We have very fun people there (hello me) justtry talking to them and you'll perhaps find close friends for life.

11) There's after band activities like Bangrah Dancing in the store room.

12) Band room is open from 7 to 7, whenever you have free period you can drop in and use the many facilities there. From sleeping to charging of phones to doing of homework to drying of clothes or for self practice or even for entertainment!

13) They have very nice people there excpet for a rare few. What she says isn't law so come on, don't take her seriously and socialise with the other people. Can try proving to her you do not have an Attitude Problem.

14) You can find lots of people with common interests in TJCSB. Everyone loves music, I'm sure you do too!

Oh by the way, no. 5 and 15 are edited out, cos there's sensitive material inside. Hahaha...I wanted to censor out no. 13 too, but oh well. AND people. Try not to post any violent objections on my tagboard ok? Nicholas took time to do this, and he's entitled to his own views. Ugh. I sound SO diplomatic.

ticket auntie?!

I just read xinling's blog...which horribly portrayed me as this auntie who has a way of getting ppl to pay or subsidise me for concerts. XINLING!! Where got. Anyway. They pay for me FIRST only okay....not pay FOR me. And I only got subsidised sistic fee ONCE. I also dunno why he subsidise for me la. But he subsidise, so very GOOD!!! So nice can. Hahaha...eh. I praising you leh. Such a nice junior...not exactly my DIRECT junior la. But who cares. I have such nice indirect juniors and seniors. That's not to say that my direct juniors and seniors are not nice okay? Hahah!! Xinling...maybe I'm just nice la...or maybe I look poor. ='( HAHA!!!

Calameonte

WOW. The last time I posted was so long ago....anyway. Lot's of exciting events have ensued. One of them being the bargain I struck with my dad, which I think isn't really that good by the way. He adamantly objected to me appealing to SA, of which I equally admantly stated that I WOULD hand the form in. SO. He's buying me a flute in exchange for my being in that green school. It's my loss okay...the bloody green uniform makes me look horrible. When I tried in on at home, my sis was like "WHY you wear daddy's shirt?!" ='( And rickson says I look like a factory worker, while Meroy says we look like scenery. *sigh*

Well...the last day of orientation was yesterday...we met our new classmates first period. Khai is damn joker la...when our CT asked him what was my name, he didn't know...and you know what he said?! "her name ah....CHIOBU!!" -.-" We laughed until want to cry liao...

The highlight of yesterday was Calameonte!! SMU's 2nd concert. AWESOME man...FINALLY I'm getting to listen to beautiful music. Pirates was nice, Wizard of Oz was nice... It was lovely to hear dear old American Riversongs again...and Daryl managed to coerce me into buying a ticket for St. Pat's concert...Brandon got accepted into SA.. SO GOOD. Plus must buy ticket for SAJC concert from him...my POCKET, burn until NOTHING alr la. Meroy down there...never tell me that he gave my ticket to daryl... made me panic for awhile...so exciting right my life. Just kicking myself for not appealing into SA. But it's too late for regrets, so...I'll just have to live with it.

transition period...

WHOO!!! I made like so many new friends today...hahaha...mental...OK. First off, TJ's 2nd orientation is a good attempt on the SCIP's part. I have an UNGLAM photo of me taken (i think) from one of the games. We had to pair up with a male la...then oh ya. Guess what. Had to bite both ends of a stick of uncooked spaghetti. AND, if your spaghetti BREAKS, well. AS our dear Clovis said, "you all might as well kiss all the way la." -.-" OH THANKS. COS mine did break. Although it wasn't THAT short that we had to kiss. BLEAGH.

OH. And after school...hopped over to SAJC to get the appeal form. Emphasis on "GET" ya. Cos I got it, I filled it up, and well, brought it home for careful consideration. But I'll be most likely handing it in, so don't worry Marcus. SAJC is like so friendly la. I walk in only, see Brandon, walk some more, see Yi Mei, sit down fill one form only, whoa, make like 4 new friends. WHOA. So exciting la. But the uniform EXPENSIVE la. Nice but must pay money. ='(
