believe in yourself...

It's high time I took time off from floating high up in the clouds with all that hpyerness and make some reflections...Just something I was thinking about this morning when I was eating breakfast. Although it sort of made me really solemn (while giving my seemingly I'm-on-pluto-that's-not-a-planet-anymore look), I think I'd like to say a big sorry to those whom I'd been thinking about.

As I was consuming my breakfast without much gusto, my train of thought lead me to reminiscise about past actions. Actions that to this day, never fail to give me a feeling of guilt, and regret. I thought of all the times I took certain people for granted, and treated them quite badly. Atrociously, in fact. I'd hurt alot of people, and still expected them to still want to be friends with me after that. Childishness that comes with youth. I gave false hope, and brought that hope crashing down not long after. And for that, I must, must try to redeem myself...I need to apologise, and....well.

Promotional exams are coming along, approaching like a bullet train. I would like to wish 32/06, as well as all my other friends: JIA YOU! We can make it, despite our dismal results from the mid years. I'm getting really stressed up, groaning and moaning about all my limitations and lack of brains, as well as all my faults. Have been having nightmares these few days...but it'll pass. A solemn post out of the superficial thoughts that I've been vomiting on this blog. Dwelve deeper into my mind.

I am an october baby!!

Oct
Loves to chat. Loves those who love them. Loves to takes things at the center. Inner and physical beauty. Lies but doesn't pretend. Gets angry often. Treats friends importantly. Brave and fearless. Always making friends. Easily hurt but recovers easily. Daydreamer. Opinionated. Does not care to control emotions. Unpredictable. Extremely smart, but definitely the hottest AND sexiest of them all.

Okaay...this is something that my dear Christianne emailed me. I posted it because although it is mostly true, the last line is unbearably ridiculous. *smirks* I am also not really beautiful on the outside?? Now, I know this reaks of something that makes the guys think "GIRLS. HONESTLY." and then try to console you verbally. I have this sneaking suspicion that the following conversation is carried out inside their unfanthomable minds.

Voiced out: don't worry! Beauty matters only on the inside!!
Thinks: not like you really have any beauty anywhere...
Voiced out: nowadays, guys don't really go for pretty girls anymore...outer beauty is just a farce, and is just a bonus.
Thinks: ya ya. The REAL reason why we don't go for pretty girls anymore is because there's practically a famine in terms of the supply...
Voiced out: just don't worry la...

Okaay....I realise that I'm rambling as per normal...I just can't seem to drag myself out of the reverie that invariably grabs hold of me when I'm blogging. My train of thought just travels the route that the silk road or the great wall of china lines out. As Marcus says. My blog is just for reading pointless articles when you have nothing to do. So there. Pointless article number 103.

*smirks* everything's goin' just fine

*smirks* Time for me to dish up more drama eh. Couldn't tell you people all about my oh-so-exciting life!! *gives a retarded face* because...of various reasons. ANYWAY. I certainly won't go into the reasons here. -.-" Like, who in their right minds actually want to know the reasons?! Please.

Now, away with those gibberish and let us delve into some intelligent conversation. *smirks again* Have any of you (with the exception of XIURU, haha) ever tried EATING MILK?? Heh. For those who are clueless, it's milk that's frozen. It's nice. You should try it. AND please use some common sense and STICK TO THE CHOCOLATE VARIETY!! Imagine trying to down iced cream milk. NOT ice-cream milk okay. NOT the same thing people.

So. Anyhow, I was performing said stunt during break on tues (I think). With the HL chocolate milk. That's low fat and high protein. After failing to consume the milk with a straw, I was FORCED to get a SPOON and sat at the bench eating my milk. I must have looked: 1. pretty strange, 2.quite pathetic and 3.with a bemused expression on my thousand-expression face. Almost everyone in class saw me and immediately went "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!" LOL. With the exception of Xiuru la. Who told everyone present how nice frozen chocolate milk was. And it wasn't bad. :)

Oh! And I passed my CHEM!!! OH MY GOODNESS. Thank God and all that. *clears throat noisily* I want to thank my father and mother...and also my sisters...for always supporting me in my tests...and not to forget my teachers, who have patiently led me on countless merry-go-rounds in lectures...my father again for binding my notes, making them look so appealing...kenneth for lending me his alkane notes...(he should thank me OKAY. I helped with his tutorial. Dunno whether correct or not. =/ haha)

Anyway. The long and short of it is, I'm so darned relieved I'd passed this test on ORGANIC CHEM. Oh my gosh. Whew!! *crosses myself fervently* Just a warning to potential chem taking juniors, ORGANIC CHEM in JC, is NOT like organic chem in secondary school. It's about twelve thousand times worse. Not only do you have alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, carboxylic acids and esters, you have things like CARBONYL COMPOUNDS, PHENOLS, BENZENE, HALOGENOALKANES, AMINES, HALOGENOARENES, CARBOXYLIC DERIVATIVES, etc. Be scared. Be very scared. In fact, be petrified. Run far far away when you see this. Hahahahaha...

lazing about on a sunny yellow, banana day...

Lazing about on a sunny yellow banna day...when I really should have been stuyding for the horrifying Chem test that the teachers decided to terrorize us with. Oraganic Chem too. URGH. But whatever, I'm HERE, and my conscience isn't making too much noise as yet, so ya. Deal with it.

Anyway...remember the prank call I thought I'd received from my juniors?? And Mayves said it wasn't them...HA! I've found out who the highly entertaining idiots are. I was right about them being younger than me, BUT, it wasn't Mayves and gang after all!! Sorry Mayves. Hahaha..but the voice really sounded like you. =/ SO. It was my SISTER after all. SO much for sisterly er...bonds and all that. She asked her friends to prank call me, can you believe it?? What appreciation.

OMG!! This is so exciting CAN!!! I'm MSNing with my sis!! When we're just like one room away from each other. SO I shout, she can hear, I scold her, she can hear and type back comments. It's so damn fun okay. Heh. I sound deprived.

singapore, a place to be.

Neil Humphreys' book is an absolute hoot. For those who haven't even smelt the book since it came out of the press, grab it, with all the Singaporean kiasu-ness you possess. Which, I can safely say, comes in large dollops.

Now, I'm willing to bet my little toe that half of you probably didn't understand half of what you just read. The other half, can't read anything to save their sorry hides, and are presumeably at my blog to glare at the beautiful graphics.

Singaporean youths, I am sorry to say, are a bunch of sorry literature bats. Which means, once again, that they can't read. They're generally literature illiterate, with the exception of the people who actually take literature in school. This, oh-so-coincidentally, leads to the sad conclusion that Singaporean kids are in touch with Shakespeare and Jane Austen for about an hour twice a week.

But I digress. In fact, you can ignore the whole of the last paragraph because it's absolute codswallop. I didn't mean it at all. Then again, I said all of that with the subtlety of a headbutt in a chest.

Anyway. It pains me to realise, with a jolt of irritation, that I probably didn't make sense to alot of people. As usual. My genius goes abosolutely unnoticed, much to my eternal chagrin. Okay. I had alot more to say, with more depth, but at the rate and state in which I'm rambling at, all you people out there would most probably look at me like I'm some intelligent animal from the Night Safari. *smirks* Yeah RIGHT.

helloooooo to ALL!!!

Hahahaha...Hahaha...actually, I have no idea whatsoever why I'm laughing like a stupid idiot. Okay...time for MORE drama.

I was going down the escalator with Xinling after school today...wearing the class jersey. :) Hahaha. Anyway. SUDDENLY, I heard a voice call out, "Florence!" *dramatic music* I turned around in slow mo, fully expecting to see my handsome prince. Yeah RIGHT. Okay okay, levity over. I turned around, looking for the person who called me. And who do I see?? This whole BIG group of guys.

1st thought: Are they from TA??
2nd thought: No...
*looks around carefully at all the faces*
3rd thought: I don't know any of them!!!!
4th thought: diao...the guy right at the back who looks damn sheepish just read the back of my shirt for fun.
*gives my best -.-" face*
5th thought: shit. I got duped. URGH.

SO drama RIGHT. OMG...embarassing CAN. AT least the guy was more embarassed. Hahahaha...I could hear all his friends scolding him la. "Wha lau...call so loud some more...","you nothing better to do ar?!" Hahahaha...DUMB. He looked SUPER shocked that I actually responded. LOL LOL LOL.

the rise of the stupid tong tong...

This post, is sepcially dedicated to our dearest XIURU!!! Hahahaha...she practically spent the whole entire day tormenting me about my love for the colour yellow. Not to mention the fact that I wanted to go to SA and not TJ. Hahahaha...eh. I like TJ already okay?? :) especially 32/06. The SPECIAL class. LOL.

Anyway, before we officially launch the Xiuru post, :) I simply feel that I MUST tell you all about the hilariously funny prank call I suspect I'd received from my lovely juniors. (If it's not you ppl, sorry, wrong number. Hahaha.) Okay la. Back to the topic. Oh ya! My GP teacher told me today that I "write very fluently, but have the tendency to sidetrack. Can see right. Totally OBVIOUS la please. From my blog already can see. ANYWAY, back to the prank call. The first few lines they said were garbled, though I mangaged to gather that they were doing something of the disney variety. Voice so cute somemore. Sounds like Mayves and gang.

Last line: If you like Nemo, press 1! If you like (was it Elmo??), press 2!

LOL. Funny can. I was trying not to laugh. BUT. I kept very very very quiet. For a very very very long time. It was damn funny la. They were like "hello? hello hello?? .....huh?? hello hello??" OMG. Tell me I'm superb at keeping a straight face. Not a PEEP released man people. But can't control my laughter now la. SO. After many many many hellos, they finally decided to end the call with something to the tune of "thank you for participating in our (bla bla bla fill in the blank). Goodbye!" Abit diao la the call, but rather interesting overall. I haven't done one of those press 1 press 2 pranks before....

Oh ya. I'm supposed to lay out the entire novel of my life for Xiuru to read...:) Here goes!! Heh. I can't seem to stop sniggering as I do this. Anyway. I wanted to go to SA BECAUSE, it was FUN, and there's BAND, and i have FRIENDS there. SO. As I already told Xiuru, I did alot of stupid things throwing away all my chances to go there. :) Hahaha...but TJ turned out to be realatively okay....besides the fact that WE STUDY ALOT ALOT ALOT!!!!! *wails* And it's quite stressful...but I guess stress comes with any JC you go to, so it doesn't matter right?? AHA! SO....like that lor.

AND yellow is not a dirty fellow colour okay ABBY. PLEASE. It's sunny. It's er...vibrant!! Orange is just a darker shade of yellow lor. AND yellow is...er... Yellow lor.

pissed off.

Hey PEOPLE!!! Still there?? Sincerely hope so...wouldn't do to lose my fan club eh? Heh. Hahahaha. Okay. LAME. It's been a LOOOONNG time since I updated. AND you know what?? I'm FINALLY blogging with wireless network in my house!! Whee...abit slow la. But haha. Better than never.

ANYWAY. I can't believe I promised Nicholas I'd go for at least ONE band prac!! *groan* haahaha...it'll certainly be an interesting experience. :)

This is actually supposed to be a rantish kinda post?? But I'll provide the happy stuff first to keep you guys interested, yada yada yada...Okay. Just a thought. My blog seems to bring you people on a roller-coaster ride of emotions OCCASIONALLY. Cos I'm a happy person and all of that, but the occasional emo posts you can bear right?? :)

I did my oral presentation on Rome today!! YAY. After preparing for so freaking long, I'd finally presented it. I THINK it went okay, but I felt that the first part of the presentation was abit TOO loaded with proper English pronunciation. Ha! Another thought halfway through: How come Wan Hsin and Cheryl keep on laughing at me?! 3rd thought: At least no one in class is sleeping YET. Or maybe it's because I'm the first presenter of the day...=/ I realise that I seem to have alot of time to reflect while giving a presentation in front of the class?? Weird. Well. The long and short of it was, I enjoyed my presentation, and that's all there is to it, I guess.

And there is the frustration of not being able to be YOURSELF. Some people just have this nasty habit of labelling others, putting them into boxes. Weird, weird, weird, weirdness is just on the lips of everyone these days. Honestly. People are just DIFFERENT. They enjoy life differently from you and your friends, you say they are weird, and ostracize them. What! It's just totally discrminated...and I hate that.

Moving on...there's nothing much to say really, except...nothing. :)
