what's done's done already
Today band!!! Hai. Sectionals was rubbish as usual. But I played like 10 000 times better during band. Dunno why also. Must be this irritating disease of mine that impedes me from ever sounding nice during sectionals. I kept 'zao sia'-ing...so bliddy frustrating. Then during band can sightread 2 long solos no problem (except for some fiendishly tricky to read notes la of course). Tell me.
WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM!!!!!Anyway. To move on to happier stuff...Lin Sheng ah, wha!!!! What a JOKER. Kejian and I were in fits of smothered giggles nearly throughout the whole of today. What with birds from kampungs and singing tuners, band with him is never devoid of tickles.
We were playing Sunrise la...(the SYF set piece) and then there was this part where the flutes had to sound like birds. -.-" (Don't ask me why bird.) THEN. Lin Sheng was telling Wai Ngai that the birds start singing one after another, like a multiplier effect (we learnt in econs haha). Then he entertained us with stories of him catching birds and 'grass
choppers' in his kampung...LOL!! He was so proud of his skill at catching different kinds of 'grass
choppers' CAN.
And then came Hymn to the Sun...by this crazy old Jap guy...(SIAO! Put so many running running tao gays for us to play) Where Lin Sheng started listening to his tuner...asking us to listen to the KIK KOK KIK KOK!!! Then his tuner something wrong, and he started complaining about it going KOK KIK KOK KIK instead of the preferred KIK KOK KIK KOK.
OMG. He KIK KOK, KOK KIK left right and center like nobody's business, Kejian and I like laughing and laughing and laughing...then the people around us were laughing and laughing. Trying to smother our laughter caused some pain I'm afraid. No. 1, we already played our lungs out, and our ribs were hurting...trying to keep our laughter in was um...Side-splittting, to say the least. (: laugh until cannot play anymore la.
On a more somber note...Matthew can't make it to TJ!!!! *sobs* Such a nice guy, so pro, but cannot get in. ARGH!!!!! Why like that. Thank goodness Kejian would
most probably make it in...the principal's condition when approving his appeal was "you must get 16 and below for your Os". And that boy, got exactly 16. -.-" And Shing Wei's back!!! The pro kia got like 9 la. I missed his gigantumous height towering over me. LOL.
