influence of jessica!!! (:
Heh heh...reading jessica's blog gives me inspiration for my posts. Like most of the time now that nothing interesting is happening. Can always count on jess to provide entertainment. (: Hahahahaha.
Count on her JES-SI-CA!!!!!!Okay! Lame. Hahahahahahaha...anyway, the basis of today's post is: BUTTERFLIES!!! Those irresistably beautiful fluttery things that never fails to make me duck instictively. *shudders* It's precisely that they flutter that I don't like them. They are unnatural I tell you. (wait. Butterflies ARE natural...what am I talking about?!) Anyway...butterflies, and bees (because of the sound they make flying around)...I'm like erm. Scared of them. Bees not so bad, it's the butterflies and its close relations the moth. Flutter flutter...*shudders* Thank goodness I live high up. Less butterflies and such.
I remember....one time my parents brought me to this butterfly farm. Forgot if it's local though. There was this BIG greenhouse full of the damn things. SO. Before going in, (this was the first time I found out that I'm scared of butterflies by the way) one of the nice lady guides opened this glass case with butterfly species. One of each kind. Mind, this glass case was
small, the kind which you know, you put dead things in and they lie all still for you to look at...SO...She took one out, and WTF!! It started flying straight towards me!!! I panicked and started running and screaming like some hysterical maniac. =/ Of course doing my famous ducking act all the time. (: My parents, I dunno what the hell they were thinking, did NOT take this cue, and instead tried to push me into the bliddy greenhouse. *shudders*
Of course, I was sobbing by then (I think) and kept trying to drag them out, but then I saw the lone butterfly (the one that looked dead) flying towards me AGAIN and I changed my mind in quite a hurry. STUPID ME. There were like a thousand more butterflies in there than outside. But then again, I was only like what, in kindergarden?? I took one look, screamed (I think, if memory serves me), shut my eyes TIGHTLY, and ran all the way out the other side. Don't ask me how I did it with my eyes shut. I was shivering all over by the time I emerged. Imagine small little me closing my eyes and covering my ears, running about aimlessly cos I couldn't see anything. LOL!!!! Traumatising experience...it's one fear I've never really gotten over. *sigh*
